The Blade Simulator by Base Performance Simulators is not only engineered for high-performance realism—it has been shaped by some of the most respected names in motorsport. During the UK lockdown in 2020, legendary drivers Dario Franchitti and Anthony Davidson played a key role in the development and early prototype testing of the Blade system.
With decades of combined experience in Formula 1, endurance racing, and simulator development, Franchitti and Davidson pushed Blade to its limits—using it to compete in the Race All-Star Series and other professional Esports competitions. Their involvement was more than advisory; it was hands-on testing under pressure, in real competitive conditions.
Their expert feedback directly influenced the simulator’s design, ergonomics, and feedback systems—ensuring the Blade offers a racing experience that accurately replicates the handling, feel, and immersion of a real-world race car. The result is a simulator that meets the demands of professional drivers and racing teams, while remaining accessible to serious sim racers and enthusiasts.
From the Simucube Sport direct drive steering motor and BPS FW1 wheel with DDU, to the BPS pedal box and GRP racing seat, every component of the Blade is tuned for authenticity. The 49" Samsung ultra-wide curved display, combined with a high-spec gaming PC, delivers immersive visual performance, while integrated speakers provide dynamic race-day sound.

Electronically Adjustable Two-Pedal System
Developed by BPS, the electronically adjustable pedal box features 200mm of smooth travel via a concealed electric actuator. Housed beneath a sleek, modern footplate, all mechanical components remain hidden—delivering clean aesthetics without compromising performance.
STEERING WHEEL
BPS FW1 Wheel – Built for Precision and Control
The FW1 racing wheel includes magnetic paddle shifters, 14 RGB-backlit tactile buttons, 5 customizable rotary encoders, two 7-way funky switches, and 11 telemetry LED indicators. Designed for serious sim racers and professionals, it offers full customization and unmatched control.

SOFTWARE & TRACK DATA
Powered by Assetto Corsa + BPS In-House Data
The Blade runs on Assetto Corsa, pre-loaded with all car and track models used in BPS’s full-size single-seater and GT simulators at their Oxfordshire HQ.
All vehicle models are updated in-house with real-world telemetry and validated by professional drivers, ensuring unmatched realism. Track models are regularly revised to reflect layout updates and maintain training-level accuracy.
